雲南省の共産党委員長は人民代表会議の席上で，すでに60,000人ものミャンマー人が紛争をさけて中国内に避難していると述べた．キンシャサ通信によると，中国政府は避難民に対し飲料水，医薬品などを提供しているという．

ミャンマー，コカン地区に戒厳令

中国政府の発表では，ミャンマーから，すでに10,000人程が国境を越えて中国へ避難したそうです． (Cf. Burmesischer Präsident ruft Kriegsrecht aus in NZZ)

ミャンマー軍，東部の反政府グループと激しい戦闘

戦闘があったのはミャンマー東部のコカン(KOKANG)自治区で，13人の反政府グループの戦闘員が死亡しました．この地域は，過去数年，比較的平穏な状態が続いていましたが，反政府グループはコカン自治区の最大都市ラウカイにある軍の駐屯地を襲撃し，同市の一部を支配下に収めました．それに対し，軍は空爆による反撃を開始，週末にようやくラウカイを反政府グループより奪回しました．なお，戦闘を逃れる為に数千人もの住民が国境を越えて中国へ避難しています．

政府の発表によると，この戦闘によりミャンマー軍兵士47人と警察官7人が死亡しました．ミャンマー軍のMin Aung Hlaing司令官によると，駐屯地の襲撃には，地域の複数の反政府グループが参加した模様です．

なお，コカン自治区の住民の大半は漢族で，一方の反政府グループ，Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA)は，1989年に解体したミャンマー共産党の残存者によって構成されています． 今回の襲撃は，2009年に中国に退去した反政府グループのリーダー，Phone Kya Shinがミャンマー軍に対して新たな攻撃を仕掛けるとの宣言と関連があると見られており，Ye Htut情報相も彼が今回の襲撃の首謀者であるとしています．同時に，中国政府に対し，非常に強い調子で，今回の戦闘において反政府グループを支援した中国側の地方政府関係者を見つけるように求めました．しかしながら，今回の戦闘における中国中央政府の関与を示す証拠は今のところ確認されていないとしています．ミャンマー政府の中国へ対する不信感は，以前から中国が反政府グループと接触をしていること，さらに，この地域は自然資源が豊かであり，この地域では中国企業が積極的にビジネスを展開していることなどが背景にあります．以上，NZZのSchwere Kämpfe im Osten Burmasからでした．

Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims in danger

Al-Azhar Al-Shareef expresses its deep concern and worry over ‪Myanmar‬ authorities’ aggressive campaigns and arbitrary practices against Rohingya Muslims, as it is contrary to all Human Rights Principles and International Humanitarian laws.

Accordingly, Al-Azhar Al-Shareef calls all Human Rights organizations to bear their responsibilities towards Myanmar Muslims and to protect them from this great danger that threatens their lives.
