上で引用した聖書の言葉ですが，ウルガタ訳(ラテン語)では以下のとおり，'intra'という言葉が使われています:

neque dicent ecce hic aut ecce illic ecce einm regnum Dei intra vos est.

フランス語をご存知の方なら'Paris intra-muros'という言葉を聞いたことがあると思います．これは，城壁の内側，つまりパリの街中(市内)という意味です，日本で言えば「江戸おもて」と言った表現です．'intra'は，言うまでもなく英語やフランス語の'interior'や'intérieur'の語源となった言葉です．
